PIC (Person in Charge) Checklist and Guide
IN THE WEEK BEFORE THE CAMPOUT
- Ensure adequate seats in cars for all who need one
- Ensure adequate towing for trailers - back-up as well if possible
- Compile list of cell phone numbers of all drivers - make copies for all drivers
- Make copies of maps and directions for all drivers
- Finalize list of all attendees - scouts and adults - and make copies for you, scoutmaster, and other adult leaders
- Send final list of attendees - both scout and adults - to:
- the entire Troop e-mail list informing them of who is signed up and asking them to inform you of any errors or omissions
- Health & Safety Chair who will verify that all medical forms are on file (normally the case, except in the winter when we are getting new scouts into the Troop)
- Tour Permit Coordinator for Tour Permit compliance
- Treasurer - be sure the list indicates those paying from their scout accounts
- Organize Prairie Chicken Patrol food - volunteers to bring and prepare each meal - by e-mail
