PIC (Person in Charge) Checklist and Guide
AT ASSEMBLY FOR DEPARTURE (SCOUT SHACK)
- Delegate where possible
- Be there and be the person in charge, taking charge of organizing the Troop to depart for this campout or activity
- Collect any medication from parents. Suggest you delegate administering of meds to other adult leaders if possible - no more than 2 boys per leader.
- Handle any last minute sign-ups - be sure you have medical forms, signed permission forms and money from each late registrant
- Distribute handouts to drivers
HAND OUT TO ALL DRIVERS
- Map
- Written directions and other information about the campsite
- List of all drivers and cell phone numbers
BRING WITH YOU TO THE CAMPOUT OR ACTIVITY
- Medical forms
- Medication and forms
- Any info you need for the campsite, such as permits, contact information, gate or property instructions, etc.
- Items to hand out to drivers
- Lists of attendees
- If the activity involves going to a Texas State Park make sure you print and bring a copy of the Youth Group Annual Entrance Permit. Make sure the permit is valid for the dates you are going. If the copy posted online has expired, please contact the thresher for details on how to get a new pass.
